This guy has been spamming us since he joined.

Just ignore him. He has annoyed quite a few of us with multiple spam questions.

He has been flagged numerous times.

Go get your kicks elsewhere. We don't want to know.

I keep seeing comments like yours Alextb, and maybe they're accurate, but I haven't observed anything remotely resembling someone trying to get kicks so far - I note that this person's original questions were taken down, and that he appears to have rejoined using the same name, and the two questions he's posted since are entirely innocuous. So only time will tell, as far as I'm concerned, and in the meantime, I'm treating it as a serious enquiry.

Here here Bamboo...what happened to innocent until proven guilty ? Now Salty, prove people wrong tomorrow !

One thing's for sure, I'm quite keen to see what Salty does post next, lol!

He hasn't responded to my comment, yet. As I said in my last comment, Salty, It would have been better if you had added some information in the first instance. That would have removed any doubts. I think you enjoy causing a stir.

Joan, I've just checked all three of Salty's questions via his profile page, and there is no comment from you underneath any of them. I can only assume you added something under one of the original questions, before he left and rejoined again. His profile page says he's new to the site, may make mistakes, and is an ex sailor, so, being someone who speaks as I find, I'm still with the innocent til proven guilty ethic.

!

A photo has been posted, not under Questions, Drc, and it looks like a form of Nigella, commonly known as black cummin, either that or Cuminum cyminum, which is the cumin seed plant.
I'm sorry you're upset - I'm not taking anyone's "side", I can only judge by what I see myself - and what I've seen myself has not been offensive. I have pm'd you.

I have replied Bamboo.

Bamboo I have checked and I DID comment - its still there - hasn't been removed at all -You must have missed it somehow, but thanks for checking up on ME. I still stand by THAT comment and the previous comment - which was very supportive to Salty.

That's weird, I must check again - I wasn't aware whether your comment was supportive or not, which was why I checked, so not checking up on YOU, but rather what you'd said, and I couldn't find it anywhere. I'll have another look...

Think perhaps Salty deserves an apology from certain members...thought this was a friendly site !

Still waiting for the photo and it's tomorrow now. ;-)

It's his profile picture..see above .

Well, that's nothing like a physalis, and it's not black, so I assumed there would be another photo - of a black physalis. And it was posted a few days ago - not on the expected day - which is now yesterday.
We've been sold a pup!

Salty says it turns black as it matures, Beattie - Seaburngirl and I reckon its Nigella of some sort, which may well turn black once it gets cold, or if it gets sooty mould.

28 Jul, 2011

I read all that and assumed you were discussing another plant as that one's not anything like a physalis. Nigella seed capsules turn brown in my experience, not a million miles from "black"....

28 Jul, 2011

There is one NIgella which has black capsules and seeds, but the foliage is slightly different from the ferny leaves shown. I think you can safely put aside Physalis as being anything to do with the plant shown - as far as I know anyway, by the looks of it.

How do I say thanks?
