what soil should the plant 'myrtus microphillia' be in

Answers

According to the RHS website, it's not fussy about pH (acid/ alkaline/ neutral) but it needs moist but well-drained soil. It needs shelter as it's not completely hardy. American websites say that it's hardy in Zones 9a -11. Here in Cornwall, we approximate to zone 9 (minimum temperature 6.6C = 20F) - and zones 10 & 11 are warmer that that.

If you are thinking putting it in a container, it likes a soil that has average drainage, and doesn't pack down--so no peat or silt.
