My runner beans have failed to set this year. I live in the Northwest, Clitheroe , Lancashire and we have had cold nights throught nthe flowering season. Could this be the cause of the problem. We have not been short of water.

My beans have plenty of flowers but these are just dropping and there are no pods forming.

Ours are only just starting to set it is a late season for them this year.

I wasnt lat putting my beans in but , I have seen no sign of flower yet, just keeping my fingers crossed
