I bought a japanese skimmia dwarf female, but it seems like it;s dying.is it because I don't have a male plant????

No, contrary to common perception, not having a male around does not cause females to die, whatever variety of living being they are, lol! These plants like acidic soil conditions, and do not like to completely dry out, plus a fair bit of shade suits them better.

Try giving it some ericaceous feed or a good dose of iron sulphate. If your skimmia is not self fertile you will need a male to get berries though.
