Can anyone identify this tree recently photographed on a holiday on Menorca?

Answers

It's Ricinus communis, castor oil plant.

In the UK it grows as an annual and reaches up to 2m. In hotter climates it is more tree like.

You'll often see it being used by local authorities as a 'dot' plant in municipal flower beds.
