My geraniums are just starting to bud now. Do I need to pull the first buds out for better flowering and if so, is it the just the buds or the stem to be removed?

If you mean pelargonium geraniums, they're very late - no, don't remove any flower buds at all - if you start removing buds, you'll end up with the thing not flowering till August, and then autumn will arrive and they'll be goners...

Oh! Thanks for this Bamboo. Yeah I thought they were late too. I bought them by mail order around Feb' and have kept them in the greenhouse until May. Most of the surrounding neighbourhood geraniums have been blooming for quite a while now. Thanks for this!
