Well if I am right it will make a large bush/shrub and will get hazel nuts eventually. Depends on the size of your garden. Hang on a bit to see if anyone else agrees with me.

A hazel's can grow into a very large tree unless you know it is one of the small shrubby ones or have a very large garden I would suggest removing.

I was thinking that they were compound leaves, while Hazel leaves are simple. My tentative I.D. is one of the brambles.

Hi Tugbrethil, & Moon growe thank you for your comments I have uprooted the plant as it was a bit strange growing there as I have rhubarb growing there so got rid cheers

Hi Moon grow no it was growing in one of my beds and I have rhubarb growing ther it may have looked like it was in my lawn only it was in my hand when I photographed it and the lawn was in the background, do you know this site is absolutley brilliant, every one is so good and kind, it is a pleasure being part of the GOY communitee, have I spelt that right as I have been to a celebration tonight, cheers
