Hello , could anyone give me some advice about my fig tree, (brown turkey) its fifteen years old, in a big planter, every other year gives about five to six figs only, place near a wall, but only has leaves towards the end of its branches. have tried to take the central arm out from each branch, but still no result, is it because its in a planter and now needs to be in the ground.

Make sure that it has at least 6 hours of sun each year, first. Since the leaves are so sparse, it sounds like it needs feeding, and/or transplanting, most likely to the ground, since it is so big. A healthy 'Brown Turkey fig should grow at least 20 cm a year, and the new growth is where the figs appear.

How do I say thanks?
