Does Western Red Cedar grow back?

United Kingdom Gb

Does it grow back if cut into the old wood?

On plant Thuja plicata

Answers

Yes - generally should regenerate well. This is the main advantage over leylandii for hedging as they will not regrow if over trimmed.
