what kind of soil does wisteria like?

hi peter i dont think it is very choosy i have one in sandy soil.i look after a garden for someone and theirs is on clay both seem to grow and flower great. mine is at the side of the shed south facing and neglected.good luck.

Not particularly fussy about soil, but it does flower better in sun.

I also had beautiful wisteria running across a porch, very old however. Like perhaps twenty years. If you want to run it. If for a post, obviously grows faster. I saw four in a square by a swimming pool and they looked spectacular. I don't think they are fussy but do not like or thrive where it is wet or soggy. Wells
