Good morning Kath,
Damp here in Surrey, looking grim but not too cold.
Sounds as if you need your crocheted blanket.
Keep warm,
Bob.

Sunny but quite a lot colder here in Somerset, Kath. At least the wind has dropped - at last!

I was just chatting about this with Spritz this a.m. I am the eternal optimist with my palms cos my garden doesn't get frost. This morning though there were definite traces of it. And when I took Ed for his run up Oliver's Mount it was white over. I just put a pillow case over my salix but the palms can fend for themselves (I hope).

A few degrees warmer than the day before as the snow on the mountains is disappearing a little, but we're threatened with a new load next week. Lots of cuddling round the wood fire lately! Brrrr!

Good morning Nariz a nice bright and sunny but frosty morning here.

We dont have a wood fire so cosy a wood fire on a Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr day.

Thick fog! I mean really thick fog here and bitterly cold but not as bad as yesterday. My pond had frozen over and was thick enough for the ducks to walk across to get their breakfast.

Severy hard frosty cold ,same as yesterday I took bad cramp inmy feet yesterday afternoon adn through the night and again this afternoon very painful.

Weedpatch. Where is here please? Weather posts are more interesting if we know where they are for in relation to us. Lol.

Hope your cramp is better Kath.Although I never diagnose by forum, if you are not doing all of the following, may I suggest Aspirin or Ibuprofen, though aspirin can cause a flaky stomach and Ibuprofen is no good for asthmatics, warm foot baths, keeping your foot level with your midriff on a high stool, gently massaging the foot first, an elastic bandage and if it is chronic and continues then seeing your GP. I assume you are doing all of these things which are really just first aid but I am retired so am not getting the scalpel out again. LOL.

Beautiful day in Surrey, cold but very bright and lovely blue sky. I can't do a thing as I am off to see a man about a knee. Frustration, but the joys of getting old.

Very cold and frosty in Somerset, but sunny this morning, so our walk was really quite pleasant without the wind!

Hope all went well, Docbob.

Thank you Spritz, that was very nice of you. New knee job I'm afraid , about three months time, and I'm the worlds worst patient, too anxious to be out working.
Getting very cold here now, frost coming on. Brrrrrrr.

Poor you! Not a nice op and a stick will be required afterwards. Just think what you could do with the stick, though! Watch out, anyone who crosses Docbob.....LOL

Yes, it's very Brrrrrr here as well - I went to do some potting on and pricking out in the greenhouse and got chilled on the way there and back - the frost hasn't gone from last night!

Kath. This is developing like my 'Let's all have a good whinge about rude people' question. I think it would be useful to re-start it as a blog and just keep it going (unlike my rude persons whinge, which was going to die down fairly quickly).

I think we have all seen the weather chat threads on other forums and they allow members to compare notes about what they do in various weather conditions, and funnily enough, if I hear from someone living to the west of me that the weather is warm or wet or cold I usually know what to expect here. That is useful to a gardener and is often more accurate than the forecast.

John.

Sarraceniac I am sorry if you feel this way if you have a complant about this thread complain to Ajay .

And I will not be restarting this as a blog.

If you want to feel free.

Kath. This is not a complaint. It is a compliment. I simply suggested that we keep it going so we could compare weather notes on a regular basis, which would be useful.

Forget it.

No need to be like that John ,this was a friendly site.
