Hi Beanfish. You may get several answers, none of them agreeing. That is gardening for you.

I use a mixture of ericaceous compost, sharp sand and grit. (2:1:1) but I am sure others will disagree. (They always do but it works for me. sigh.)

Hi Beanfish, Olives grow and fruit well in terracotta pots, in a loam based compost, ie John Innes No 3 adding grit for good drainage, if it is a very wet season raise the pot (on feet) if possible, hope this is enough information.

How do I say thanks?
