It sounds like a deficiency of minerals, probably a lack of magnesium, You could give it a quick boost with something like miracle gro, then either put some slow release fertiliser around the base, or preferably a mulch of muck or home made compost and water well.

hi i have taken photos just not mastered my new phone and how to download. the ground was coveredin cow manure two years ago. but it does look like it lacks something, i have rock hard clay soil under that. will try to download thanks to all who answered. joycey
