Yes, quite a few plants don't mind shade, although full, deep shade is a little more difficult - the most important thing is whether the soil there is damp most of the time, or whether it dries out easily because, say, its under a tree which takes all the water. Shade plants often prefer moister soil, so the list will be different depending on that piece of info...
