I bought one of these cheap in Lidl last year, had it in a pot outside all summer but it only produced a few flowers & didn't grow in height at all. :-( I put it in an unheated polytunnel for the winter, not having anywhere indoors for it, but it turned up its toes. You'll need to bring it in somewhere frost free for winter, but May should be OK to put it out. Don't forget to harden it off.
