I pinch the tips of mine to make them bushier and feed them every 2 weeks

and once they start flowering always dead head the faded bloos. once they form seeds they slow down and stop flowering.

My mother called them friendship flowers and always had loads of flowers on hers but they were picked regularly to keep them flowering and given to friends and neighbours.
