hi i have just started growing kelvedon wonder peas in a pea and bean bag outside..... it says to support them with canes which i have but do they need string around the canes aswell?

If the canes are more than 1 cm in diameter, you will probably need some string as well. Peas cant wrap their tendrils around things much thicker than that.
