how do I know if my pyracantha has got fire blight

thanks for your advice but i am still not sure as there seems now to be a sign of new growth.

Then it is probably not fire Blight as the shrub dies very quickly once it has it.

Because the leaves will look as if someone has had a fire under the shrub. There is no mistaking the disease.
