What to with Gaillardia artista in fall?

I have several gaillardia artista in my garden.
Do I cut them back in the fall?

Some Gaillardia are perennial and some are annual, so if you don't know which yours are, leave them for a while then tidy them up, cutting off old leaves and dead flowers . If they resprout in spring they are perennial ones.
