How to care for Isotoma axillaris in autumn and winter

United Kingdom

Please can anyone tell me what to do with them at this time of year. I am only in my first season of gardening, and these plants are flourishing in pots in my garden. Do they need cutting back? If so how much? And when is the best time to do this.

I think these are Australian Harebells. I assume they would be either annuals or if perennial would need to be kept frost free. Try to take some seed and cuttings as a reserve to overwinter.
