I have a Fuchia in my garden that does not want to grow. It produced two stems with a flower each.What is wrong

Too much heat is tough on them, too. That may be a problem in the more northerly areas of S. A.

Wrong plant, wrong place? You haven't said what conditions you're growing it in - they like fairly rich soil in part shade and hate to dry out completely.
