I really enjoyed it very much with Toby a real down to earth kinda guy reminded me in Jeff Hamilton.

Even my H said he could listen to him for long enough.

And when he mentioned thing could now was sow think it was Japensese onion sets .

Which I looked for today and no one had them locally.

i had read that they were going to talk about Clematis wilt - but it wasn't mentioned! Apart from that, I think it was a cautious 'yes' to the new presenter! I hope that they will put the names of the plants up on the screen like they used to. I found that very useful.

I was sulking because Carol did not get the job but Toby's trip to Cambridge UBG did warm me to him a little.

Yes Carol would have been an excellent choice but have to say like Toby.

Why didn't Carol get the job? I missed the show!!

Did Carol want the job?
Toby was really thrown in at the deep end, straight in to opening the programme. You are right, Kath, there is a similarity to Jeff Hamilton.
It will be interesting to see how the programme develops with Toby at the head of the team of presenters.
Lynne, I think you can replay the programme from the Gardener's World website.
I would like them to continue to put the names of the plants up on the screen too, Barbara, although I think they are also available on the website.

I thought he played it very safely without courting any controversy. It will be interesting to see what he is doing in, say, six months' time when he start to 'personalise' the job

I thought he was very good. At least he didn't describe everything as "fantastic" which I get tired of hearing on TV programmes.

Yes looking forward to hearing him again thsi week.

He mentioned it stiem to plant japensese onion sets.

And there are no onion sets to buy in any of our local garden centres.
