my greengage plum tree has creamed coloured fugus on it main trunk, it has has fruited every year but last , i did cut some branches off has it was getting to tall please help.

If it's a 'bracket' type, rigid sort of platform sticking ou of the trunk, 6 - 8 ft off the ground, then your grengage is (as Fraser on Dad's Army used to say) 'doomed'. As Bamboo says, a picture would be invaluable. Worthy

Would like to see a photograph of the problem - is it at the base of the trunk?
