Does anyone know what this tree is please? I think it may be the mahonia family but I'm unsure.

By jove, I think he's got it - Bluespruce is right, I'm wrong, it is Aralia - that'll teach me to clean my specs more often, lol!

Mahonia, yes, either japonica or a Mahonia x media variety - there are slight differences between varieties in terms of height, etc.
