what is it?

i was given a plant as a present and it had no label. so if anyone knows what this plant is. i'm afraid the pics not clear, but it has roots growing down from the leaves, and the leaves are quite scaly.

Hi, Sorry you haven't had ay replies to your question yet.
Can I suggest that you take another picture and give us a description of what the leaves are like, does it feel like a fir or a succulent and do the roots set themselves in the soil around the base, is it a house plant or outdoor and when does the new growth appear, or does it flower.
If you can give as much info and post a clearer picture then that would really help
