My conifers all did very well on chicken manure fertiliser, but, when I was a very small boy, I remember my Dad chucking out the 'spoil' from our outside loo onto the conifer border, and the plants were all fantastic! Conifers really shouldn't need any feed if they are healthy plants and in the ground. But if you find it necessary then an ericaceous feed would generally be the best bet.
