Please tell me what club root looks like ? I have brussel sprouts which have weird knobly growths on some of the storks,whitish,mildew looking.( in place of a normal sprout)I thought club root was something like a distorted root under the soil,but now I am wondering !

You are right, Justvera, the growth on the stem is not clubroot. The roots become swollen. The Brussel sprouts may indeed be suffering from mildew.
