All of my leek plants have died off,with some sort of fungal problem I think.What is the cause please ? and how to prevent this another year ?I used a dibber to plant them and watered them in regularly.Two separate plantings well away from each other but all with the same disappointing results.

Thank you Philjeffs for your help.I have since dug some of them up and they are absolutely rotten but for the botton half inch,( unuseable)

Probably rotted AFTER leek moth caterpilar damage (look it up, loads on Google). Next year a preventative spray might be needed. Phil J
