Moving as dwarf verbascum

I have a lovely little dwarf verbascum. I am not keen on verbascum but this dwarf variety is compact and has lovely yellow and red flowers.

I would like to move it and since it has now stopped flowering, I wondered if I would get away with it just now. I am pretty sure it will have a tap root, as I am sure that my previous verbascum had these. So I am not sure if it is a good idea to move it at all?

I'd wait until later in the year when it is going dormant. then lift with as much soil around the root as possible. and pop into its new home immediately.
