Looks suspiciously like a Broad bean plant to me.

and to me too and the pods have beans in that are edible. better when young in my opinion. Don't eat the pods as they are 'furry' and the beans are nestling in there.

If it is a broad bean it will flower. When it does pinch out the tips including the flowers, because this deters black fly which can be a real pest.

Bans are visible on lower parts of the plant. Enjoy!
