I have a bush in my garden with copper coloured leaves and reddish branches,it has pinkish blossom coming on it,i think the name starts with an l something like Lunus does anyone from the discription know what it is,if so when would you prune.

perhaps one of the Prunus [flowering cherry]
usually if plants flower early you prune straight after flowering.

Impossible without a picture. Cotinus? Photinia? There are a lot of shrubs which fit the description.
