Advice on moving plants please
I’m moving house early February but won’t have anywhere to move to for months so will be staying
with family. I’ve got loads of pot plants which I’m planning to take to my allotment for safekeeping but I’m worried about moving the climbers like clematis and roses. To make it easier to transport them in the boot of my car could I take the risk of pruning them that early before I move them?
All help much appreciated
Caroline

yes 'lift them and pot them up' if they are still in the ground. Prune to reduce stress is a very good idea and I have already pruned by half my roses and summer flowering clematis.
