Hi All,
Would someone be able to tell what type of orchid this may be? I got it a few weeks ago for £10 from Morrisons. It was planted in what looked like compost and an opaque plastic pot, which looked odd to me.

Just to confuse people, this type of Dendrobium is called Dendrobium phalaenopsis, but it is a Dendrobium, not a Phalaenopsis.

meant to say the compost it in is deliberate, it is free draining and the fleshy roots are also able to photosynthesise hence the clear pot. So nothing to worry about.

Thanks both. I changed it from an opaque to clear pot after purchase. It was more of a soggy compost rather than bark chippings etc.

How do I say thanks?
