can Ranunculus asiaticus survive winter planted outside in the ground in uk or ireland ? i have 500 corms and not sure weather to plant in october or wait untill spring. ?

Unless your winters are warmer than -4 deg. C, I would wait until spring.

hi just on to the supplier who rells me this variety is hardy to -12 to + 4c .
its "common mix" as he calls it so maby ill take a chance .maby plant some in pots inn the greenhouse and plant rest outside.

Sounds worthwhile, Brian. I haven't run into one that hardy before, but it's not impossible, since many of their ancestor's came from Iran.
