Does anyone know what is the growth on the top of this Helleborus foetidus? Is it normal fasciation or something else?

yes I also think they are flower buds forming.

Thanks for that. This one seeded itself among the Crocosmia 'Lucifer' and I just noticed it's different at the top. Maybe I just never noticed the others do this.
