vine weevils are a dull brown with a faint yellow speckling on its body.

Looks like an adult Green Shield Bug - not usually a problem in gardens, though they do suck the sap of herbaceous plants. You're seeing them now probably basking in the sun before they get ready to hibernate over winter.
