Anyone know what is plant is i pass it on my walk along a cycle path it’s in the hedgerow I see it every year around this time it’s so pretty a lovely dark wine colour tinged with cream.

I was given some of this recently by a patient of mine. I’ve planted it on my bund hill. I have to agree, it looks good, especially the berries.

its a garden escapee, Leycesteria formosa, the pheasant berry or Himalayan honeysuckle
