I’ve seen only about half a dozen slugs Altogether so far this year, but when I transplanted my small lettuce from a tray in the greenhouse into one of my raised beds that changed altogether. Fortunately I had scattered slug pellets around because in the morning there were 7 huge dead slugs and 3 smaller ones lying around.
Had they been waiting All this time for me to put them out ?

Thanks for the replies, there were only 4 big ones and 1 small one this morning so I think I’m winning.

No they will have been out foraging for weeks but you had put pellets down so they found those instead of making it home.
