I think my rosemary bush is dying. It’s about 15 years old and very suddenly the leaves have gone grey and the branches brittle. Is there anything I can do to save it and if not Can I plant another in its place
Any suggestions very much appreciated

I suspect you are right and it is on its way out probably it got too wet this autumn / winter.
its never a good idea to plant the same plant in the same place. But if you remove the soil for a couple of feet around where it was and replace with soil from somewhere else in the garden/ freshly bought bag of soil.

you can then plant a new bush in the same place.

Out of curiosity I looked up how long they live. Answer...up to 20 years. So quite long-lived really. But yours looks to have given up the ghost. Never mind, they are easy to get and grow pretty fast. :)
