No, there's no point, the tubers will have reached as big as they're going to get for this year, and the plant will not make use of the fertilizer to grow on because of shortening days and falling temperatures, especially as its now almost November. We had the first frost of this winter here in London last night...

Bit of a shock to the system suddenly, after so much wet and relatively mild weather! I haven't had time to adjust to cold yet...

It feels very cold here in Devon although the temperature isn't that low. Must be lack of adjustment as you say Bamboo.
