Hi I have a lavatera shrub which has grown well but it's stem are pointing outright rather than upward.
Is there a certain way to prune it to get the stems growing straight once the flowers have died off!
Thanks in advance

you could remove the stems on the outer side of each main stem so that the inner ones hopefully continue upwards.
its not a problem I have heard of before. perhaps it is a lax variety.

I had one that liked to produce horizontal stems. After flowering you could try cutting some of the branches at an upward facing bud and see it that corrects is next year.
