Can anyone Identify their plant seems to have grown around a dead tree in the forest where I walked today

the leaves look very different to the juvenile foliage which is what people think of as ivy. they flower and have berries at the same time . an excellent plant for winter flying insects, especially bees and wasps that awaken on mild winter days..

Yes Karen it had climbed so high up the tree my daughter and grandson were taken aback when I pointed it out to them it was covered in clusters of small dark berries love to see on a beautiful sunny spring day .
