What is the name of these plant or flower?

I grew these plants from seeds. It was given to me by an elderly lady. The red leaf plant grows about 5 ft tall. I enjoyed this plant every year. I have been trying to find the name for longest time. Can anybody help?

Looks like a species of Amaranthus. I have grown Josephs coat and the form is very similar.
