My runner beans are failing to develop : Grows on You

My runner beans are failing to develop, despite masses of flowers. Could it be the pollen beetles that are infesting every flower in the garden?

Have you tried spraying them with water in the evening? that can help with pollination.

the pollen beetles will also help pollinate them. they need plenty of water though and in this hot spell that could be the main problem.
