I've grown Sweetcorn for years now and though I get up to four cobs per plant, only 2 are of a reasonable size, the rest look puny. Should I remove all but two or three. Or, how can I get four big ones? We just had the last today, OH says "better than chocolate"

Well Diadon, I know they need lots of light and need to be planted in a group rather than a row as they pollinate themselves by wind. I never bother feeding, just dig in some home made compost in winter. Next year I'm thinking of growing some in a straight line (as well as a group) and pollinating them by hand. It will help rotation of crops if it works.
