I have three cordyline austrlis planted them last year and they look healthy but the new growth in the middle of two of them seem to be stuck together.Is that ok or is there a problem with them?

A photograph would be very helpful, otherwise its hard to say. It might just be the leaves are only just developing, or an insect has got in between and woven a sticky web to stick the leaves together in order to protect the eggs or larvae, like leaf rollers do.
