Whilst repotting a camellia I noticed a large amount of yellow eggs? In the compost. Could you tell me what they are.

yes as mg says it is slow release fertiliser and nothing to worry about.
slug and snail eggs are a similar size but are clear jelly like in appearance until just before hatching when they are milky white.

Slow release liquid feed added to the compost by the growing company.
