Hi everyone I have a pineapple lily and a caffia lily in pots in the garden do I cut them back and keep out of the frost over winter please

Not sure what you mean by 'caffia lily'. Kaffir lily is a common name applied to more than one plant, but you might mean Schizostylus coccinea - if you do, they're hardy in the ground outdoors. Don't cut back, just remove the foliage once it dies back.
Pineapple lily usually means Eucomis, and they do need protection from frost - information for that in the link below, you'll need to copy it into your browser
