United States Us

For a good number of years now I have followed the traditional path of raising summer bedding followed by the almost obligatory wallflower and tulips.
Because of a disability (and passing years!) I'm no longer able to continue in this way. I am writing to ask if anyone can suggest an easy, continually flowering, perennial which I could use in place of the "geranium" regime in a particular narrow bed.
I appreciate that this is a difficult choice and very much a personal choice too, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are actually in the USA, which USDA zone are you in?

Sorry. I should have said I live in the UK.

How narrow is narrow? Is it a border hemmed in by other things, like a wall or something? Could the border accommodate something that gets, say, 4 feet wide by 4 feet high?

the flag showing next to your name is the USA flag - you must have ticked the wrong box when you signed up, so you can go into your profile and change that setting to UK

The best continual flowering thing I can think of is a small shrub rather than a perennial, but if there is room and its a sunny position some Potentillas would flower all summer and need practically no maintenance.

How do I say thanks?
