It will be fine to leave the Yew where it is , it is poisonous to animals not other plants.

we rarely pick up the clipping of ours and that has been in place for about 20 yrs. so no need to worry.

I always put a large plastic sheet down when I cut my Yew hedge so it's easier to collect the clippings as the hedge is on the side of our front drive.
